I began photographing my first assignment more than nine years ago for yearbook publications in my hometown of Marion, SC. Along with photographing weddings, bands, nature and the urban scene, capturing the raw emotion of people through the candid art of photo journalism has become my passion. This form of photography allows me to be a part of any crowd and capture moments and expressions as they happen rather than interrupting my subjects to pose them. As a result, my photographs are aesthetically pleasing. I found my niche in photographing weddings when I moved to Charleston in Summer of 2003. I currently reside in West Ashley with my beautiful wife Kristen and our devil of a child, Midge (the kitty). I love awesome music and being around new people and simply enjoying life's little pleasures.
